Sr Specialist Technology Vendor Management – OEM Management/ Enterprise Market Telecom Products/ Techno-Commercial Vendor Management/Commercial Management/Strategic sourcing/Supplier Governance/Cost Optimization

Role Purpose
Lead strategic technology vendor and OEM management for Enterprise Market telecom products and services, combining strong technology and product understanding with commercial management, strategic sourcing, supplier governance and cost optimization.
The role requires a senior techno-commercial professional who understands enterprise telecom technologies and can evaluate vendor solutions, challenge OEM propositions and translate technology requirements into effective commercial and sourcing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage strategic relationships with telecom OEMs, technology vendors and service providers supporting Enterprise Market products and solutions.
- Lead techno-commercial evaluation of vendor technologies, solutions and proposals, considering technical fit, scalability, commercials, risk and business value.
- Drive RFQ/RFP, strategic sourcing, vendor evaluation and supplier selection.
- Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, licensing, contractual terms, SLAs, renewals and supplier commitments.
- Drive supplier performance management through KPIs, SLAs, governance reviews, scorecards, escalations and corrective actions.
- Partner with Product, Technology, Engineering, Procurement, Finance and Operations to align technology requirements with vendor capabilities and commercials.
- Drive cost optimization, TCO analysis, benchmarking and commercial value realization across strategic vendors.
- Assess technology roadmaps and emerging capabilities to support vendor strategy and sourcing decisions.
- Identify and manage supplier, technology, contractual and commercial risks.
- Use analytics and AI-enabled insights to strengthen vendor governance and strategic decision-making.
Technology / Product Knowledge
Candidates should have strong knowledge or exposure across enterprise telecom technologies such as:
- Hosted Voice Services (HVS) and enterprise voice
- SIP / VoIP / Unified Communications
- SD-WAN and enterprise networking
- MPLS, Ethernet and IP-based connectivity
- Managed Network Services
- Cloud and hybrid connectivity
- Enterprise mobility and wireless solutions
- Network/security technologies associated with enterprise telecom solutions
- Telecom OSS/BSS and service-management ecosystems, where relevant
The technology expectation is not hands-on engineering. The individual should understand these technologies sufficiently to assess solutions, challenge OEMs, understand product/vendor dependencies and make sound techno-commercial decisions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of experience in Technology Vendor Management, Telecom, Strategic Sourcing, Commercial Management or related technology/vendor functions.
- Strong Enterprise Market and telecom technology/product knowledge.
- Proven experience managing major telecom OEMs, technology vendors and service providers.
- Strong techno-commercial evaluation and decision-making capability.
- Experience leading strategic sourcing, RFQ/RFP and complex supplier evaluations.
- Strong contract and commercial negotiation capability.
- Supplier performance and SLA/KPI governance experience.
- Strong TCO, benchmarking, cost optimization and financial/commercial analysis capability.
- Ability to understand complex technology architectures and translate them into vendor, sourcing and commercial strategies.
- Strong executive communication, negotiation and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a large telecom or enterprise technology environment.
- Exposure to HVS, enterprise voice, networking, connectivity, SD-WAN, cloud and managed services.
- Experience managing strategic OEM/vendor relationships across multiple technology domains.
- Experience with technology transformation, analytics, automation and AI-enabled vendor management.
