Educational requirements
- Full Time: Must possess a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree in a STEM* field, completed by the start date in mid-July.
- Intern: Must be rising seniors actively pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree or graduate degree in a STEM* field.
*STEM fields are inclusive of degrees classified under federal STEM designation codes.

Program schedule
- Full Time: Starts mid-July; duration is 2 years, or 3 years for the Network Engineer Track.
- Internship: Starts early June; duration is 10 weeks.

Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of creating next-generation technology solutions, developing intuitive, user-focused designs, writing clean and efficient code, rigorously testing, and refining based on user feedback. Leverage AI to simplify processes and solve complex problems. Work closely with cross-functional teams in daily collaborative meetings to drive alignment and innovation. Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Node.js is essential.

Data Science Engineer
As a Data Science Engineer, leverage your expertise in data analysis, AI, and machine learning, complemented by a solid foundation of software engineering and a strong security-first mindset to solve complex business challenges and enhance customer satisfaction. Collaborate cross-functionally to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive operational efficiency, cost savings, and revenue growth. Proficiency in Python, R, Spark, and SQL is essential, along with excellent communication skills to effectively share your findings across teams.

Cybersecurity
Our Cybersecurity Internship Program allows you to take the lead as part of our world class Chief Security Organization. You’ll work at the forefront of cybersecurity, innovating, and activating the protections we need to stay one step ahead of cyber threats. You will play a vital role in helping AT&T to maintain the security of millions of customers around the world. As you grow your skillset, you’ll learn what it takes to succeed in a cybersecurity career with us and have the opportunity to network with leaders across the organization and build relationships within AT&T. This is a full time, paid, 10 week project based internship program available during the summer. Location included are Dallas, TX and Middletown, NJ.

Join AT&T Labs for a 10-week internship starting in early June, where you’ll engage in impactful research projects within our Network Chief Technology Office, tackling unique challenges faced by one of the world’s largest network providers. Candidates must be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or hold an undergraduate degree and be pursuing an advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical field.
