AT&T LegalEdge internship

AT&T is seeking exceptional law students to join AT&T LegalEdge, a center of expertise within the AT&T Legal Department. As a legal intern, you'll spend eight weeks working in person alongside our team of attorneys and legal professionals, supporting significant cases while gaining hands-on experience using advanced technologies, including generative AI. This internship offers the opportunity to participate in AT&T cases, build substantial real-world experience, and lay a strong foundation for the next step in your legal career.

Where you’ll grow

By the end of the eight-week program, you'll have hands-on experience applying legal research, analysis, and writing in an AI-first practice, plus the judgment to know how to use AI responsibly and effectively.

  • Weeks 1 to 2

    Week 1: Orientation, legal landscape, litigation lifecycle, AI tools overview, mentor assigned

    Week 2: Statutory & case law research, AI research methods, validating AI outputs, first networking event

  • Weeks 3 to 4

    Week 3: Discovery process, including AI-assisted review and privilege determinations; capstone kickoff

    Week 4: AI-assisted complaint analysis, fact development, witness interviews, and responsive pleadings.

  • Weeks 5 to 6

    Week 5: AI-assisted chronologies, witness outlines, deposition preparation

    Week 6: Regulatory inquiries and responses, and crossfunctional teamwork.

  • Weeks 7 to 8

    Week 7: Risk assessments, advocacy and mediation strategies, mock exercise.

    Week 8: End-to-end capstone scenario, final presentations to leaders, celebratory dinner

Eligibility and requirements

Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study by the start of the program

Strong academic credentials, including excellent legal writing and analytical skills

Demonstrated passion for technology, initiative, and interpersonal abilities

Law review, journal, or moot court experience preferred
