Job Summary
This role develops and supports application services for multiple supply chain platforms, including Python backend APIs, secure integrations, data-driven web applications, and user interfaces.
The developer will build and support modern web applications hosted on the Microsoft Azure platform, including frontend user interfaces using React/Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript. The role also includes developing Python backend services and REST APIs, integrating with Oracle Fusion, iCertis, and other enterprise systems, managing database solutions, and supporting production environments.
Oracle Redwood and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) are secondary skills. Previous experience is beneficial, but willingness and ability to learn these technologies is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of enterprise software development experience, including 3+ years in application development.
- Strong Python backend development and REST API design, development, and integration experience.
- Experience developing modern web applications using React/Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and responsive UI practices.
- Experience developing applications on the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, with experience using PostgreSQL or Oracle Database.
Must-Have Skills
- React/Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript experience.
- Strong Python backend development experience.
- FastAPI or comparable Python web framework experience.
- Experience integrating backend APIs with modern web applications.
- REST API design, development, testing, and integration.
- PostgreSQL or Oracle Database development experience.
- Strong SQL and relational data modeling skills.
- Security basics:
- OAuth 2.0
- OpenID Connect
- JWT
- Microsoft Entra ID fundamentals
- Microsoft Azure application development experience.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive issues to closure.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Azure Service Bus for messaging and event-driven integrations.
- AI/LLM integration, prompt evaluation, and semantic search concepts.
- Vector search using pgvector or Azure AI Search.
- Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS).
- Oracle Redwood UX and Oracle ERP integration or application development.
- PostgreSQL or Oracle Database experience, including data integration and enterprise application support.
- Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and scheduled data pipelines.
Learning and Fungibility Expectation
- Redwood and OIC are not mandatory at entry, but willingness and ability to learn both quickly is expected.
- Candidate should be fungible across adjacent engineering areas based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain modern web applications using React/Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Build, test, and maintain Python backend services and REST APIs using FastAPI.
- Integrate frontend user interfaces with secure, reliable backend APIs.
- Develop application integrations with Oracle Fusion, iCertis, and other enterprise systems.
- Design and support data solutions using PostgreSQL and Oracle Database.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
- Develop event-driven integrations and workflow processes using Azure Service Bus and Apache Airflow.
- Support AI/LLM, semantic search, and vector search capabilities where applicable.
- Contribute to Oracle Integration Cloud, VBCS, Oracle Redwood, and Oracle ERP initiatives as project needs evolve.
- Troubleshoot application issues, support production stability, and participate in incident resolution.
- Create technical documentation for application design, development, testing, integration, and deployment.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support the delivery of maintainable, production-ready application components.
