JOB TITLE: Lead System Engineering

JOB LOCATION: 500 North Point Pkwy., Alpharetta, GA 30022

DUTIES: Responsible for translating the core architecture for business requirements into the final technical solution (consisting of platform, network, software, cloud, etc.) through functional, performance, and reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques, primarily through software development throughout the vertical stack. Defines designs; Provides technical enablement for application components and subsystems for an Application(s). Drives important design decisions for development team. Elaborate the design and interfaces for specific components including: Define subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with solution context. Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partners with those teams in elaborating the Solution and its interfaces. Validate technology assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level, participate in the definition of others. Create and enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline including: Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the system solution and explore alternatives. Develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities. Work with portfolio stakeholders, Solution and Enterprise Architects, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers. Participate in project planning, system and solution demos, retrospective workshops; Understand technical characteristics of and assist with architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms. Serve as subject matter expert in Billing, Usage and Payment side of the eCommerce platform while also supporting all other application designs in the ecosystem. Ability to generate detailed application specific design documents based on high level requirement/solution documents. Ability to lead the design aspect of any function and also provide active guidance to engineering and product teams. Detailed working knowledge of EA SparX for design representation of Software application. Proper understanding of microservice design philosophy and Event Driven Architecture. Expert in cloud and SaaS/PaaS platform integration. Expertise in major platform migration effort. Utilize application development and engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of the entire technology ecosystem. Use eCommerce design and solutioning. Apply knowledge of 4G/LTE/5G and broadband technologies. Determine primary components and subsystems, analyze technical trade-offs, and defining interfaces and collaborations; leading the creation and execution of the architecture vision and roadmaps for both existing and modernized platforms. Lead and influence cross-functional teams. Perform cloud and SaaS integrations with Amdosc BSSe platform, Azure, and AWS. Work with 4G/LTE/5G and broadband technologies, 3GPP, and TMForum standards. Use Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect. Utilize AI and Machine Learning (ML) technologies. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or Engineering and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing application development and engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of the entire technology ecosystem; using eCommerce design and solutioning; applying knowledge of 4G/LTE/5G and broadband technologies; determining primary components and subsystems, analyzing technical trade-offs, and defining interfaces and collaborations; leading the creation and execution of the architecture vision and roadmaps for both existing and modernized platforms; leading and influencing cross-functional teams; performing cloud and SaaS integrations with Amdosc BSSe platform, Azure, and AWS; working with 4G/LTE/5G and broadband technologies, 3GPP, and TMForum standards; using Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect; and utilizing AI and Machine Learning (ML) technologies.
