At AT&T, we are connecting people to greater possibility through reliable, modern, and intelligent networks. Our teams are transforming how we plan, build, operate, and scale the network by combining deep technical expertise with automation, data, AI-enabled workflows, and disciplined execution.

We are looking for a Senior Specialist Member of Technical Staff to help advance transformation within the Mobility Core. In this role, you’ll help design practical AI-enabled workflows, automation patterns, and analytics capabilities that improve how teams plan work, manage priorities, track execution, and make decisions.

You’ll bring technical depth, business process understanding, program management discipline, and a strong interest in using AI responsibly to improve speed, quality, visibility, and accountability across complex work.

Job Overview

This role helps modernize how Mobility Core plans, governs, and delivers critical work. You’ll work across technical, financial, vendor, and delivery teams to reduce manual effort, improve operational visibility, and turn data into actionable insights.

Success in this role requires more than automation experience. You’ll need to understand how work moves through a large technical organization, how teams coordinate across dependencies, and how tools like Jira, Power BI, Git, APIs, scripting, and AI-enabled platforms can improve execution at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and deploy AI-enabled workflows and automation that improve how Mobility Core plans, tracks, governs, and executes work.
  • Build workflows and agents that ingest data, identify signals, trigger actions, and surface insights across financial planning, vendor management, delivery execution, and program governance.
  • Develop analytics capabilities using tools such as Jira, Power BI, and AI-enabled platforms to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Apply business process and program management discipline to improve intake, prioritization, milestone tracking, dependency management, and executive reporting.
  • Partner with Mobility Core and ATS-aligned teams to improve operating models, standardize workflow patterns, and support broader transformation priorities.
  • Establish reusable standards, documentation, and governance practices that support safe and consistent adoption of AI-enabled workflows.
  • Translate complex business and technical problems into practical automation, analytics, and process solutions.
  • Use data, feedback, and measurable outcomes to continuously improve workflow performance and reporting quality.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience designing or implementing workflow automation, AI-enabled solutions, data products, analytics capabilities, or technical execution frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of business process, program execution, governance models, and how large technical organizations plan, prioritize, deliver, and measure work.
  • Familiarity with Mobility Core, network technology, telecommunications delivery, or other large-scale technical environments.
  • Practical experience with modern AI tools, including generative AI, agentic workflows, AI-assisted development, or AI-enabled process automation.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Power BI, Git, APIs, scripting, or similar platforms to manage work, analyze data, and improve operational visibility.
  • Ability to connect technical execution with business outcomes such as cost, speed, quality, delivery confidence, and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to work across organizations, influence stakeholders, and drive adoption of new tools, workflows, or operating practices.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to create clear documentation, executive-ready insights, and practical guidance for technical and business teams.

What You’ll Need

  • Hands-on experience with automation, analytics, AI-enabled tools, data workflows, technical delivery, software engineering, process engineering, or program execution.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Power BI, Git, APIs, scripting, reporting automation, or similar delivery and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to define requirements, design workflow solutions, test outcomes, and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Comfort working with structured and unstructured data to identify trends, automate insights, and support decision-making.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives across technical, operational, financial, vendor, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Ability to create standards, reusable patterns, documentation, and control points that help teams scale new ways of working.
  • Strong ownership, judgment, and accountability in ambiguous or fast-changing environments.
  • Interest in applying AI responsibly to improve how teams plan, execute, measure, and continuously improve work.
