About the Team:

As a Lead AI Product Manager, you will join our dynamic Digital Engineering and Customer Experience (DECX) Automation & Conversational AI team. This team is dedicated to enhancing productivity, ensuring that connected customer journeys remain at the center of everything we do.

Job Summary:

We are hiring a Lead Technical Product Manager to shape and deliver innovative AI-powered customer sales virtual assistants. You will manage the full product lifecycle, set architecture direction, define product requirements, and align teams to drive go-to-market plans. This role focuses on integrating advanced AI frameworks like Google NGA/ADK for seamless, agentic experiences.

You will play an essential role in developing the product roadmap, managing stakeholder expectations, and enhancing customer value by improving the customer sales journey. As a member of our team, you will drive innovation, ensure effective communication across technical and business stakeholders, and oversee the integration of emerging technologies to maintain industry leadership. Your contributions will influence customer satisfaction, increase AI-driven sales revenue, and advance user interactions with our virtual assistant solutions.

Role and Responsibilities:

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through development, launch, and end-of-life, ensuring seamless transitions through each stage and ongoing product performance.
  • Coordinate with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, sales support, and marketing as the products move to production and distribution.

Define and Document Requirements:

  • Translate and document customer and technical requirements into final product designs, prepare and present comprehensive business cases, and provide detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze customer needs and identify priorities for new products or services and enhancements.

Conduct Market Research and Analysis:

  • Perform in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, addressable revenue potential, customer segments, and opportunities for new products or features.
  • Conduct research and analysis on defined markets, including volumes and revenue results.

Develop and Maintain Product Roadmaps:

  • Create and maintain detailed product roadmaps, service guides, product documentation, results reports/analysis, and project plans, ensuring alignment with market needs and business objectives.
  • Define and drive initiatives to grow revenue and margin.

Collaborate with Stakeholders and UX Design:

  • Partner with business, technology, UX teams, and 3rd party technology partners to design or modify products, ensuring a high-quality user experience, alignment with budget and schedule specifications, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Work with Management, Technology Development, Contracting, Legal, Product Marketing, and Business or Consumer Teams to develop strategies. Negotiate with vendors to improve the product cost structure, feature functions and delivery timelines.

Qualifications Required:

  • Possess 8+ years of proven experience as a product manager, specializing in digital solutions designed for end-users.
  • Have a strong history of leading AI-powered product development and lifecycle management, focusing on advanced technologies such as GenAI, LLM models, and Agentic AI frameworks (including NGA, ADK, LangChain, and LangGraph).
  • A background in development is considered a significant asset. • Experience with voice-enabled AI projects is desirable.
  • Skilled at working with cross-functional teams to define, document, and transform both customer needs and technical requirements into innovative AI-driven product offerings.
  • Have overseen the integration and deployment of AI/ML solutions, including implementation on cloud platforms like GCP, Azure, and AWS, and the use of AI/ML development tools.
  • Adept in market research and competitive analysis to uncover opportunities for AI-focused products or features that maximize customer value and support business goals.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML product analytics, evaluation, and testing practices, including practical use of observability and annotation tools.
  • Excellent communicator, capable of explaining complex AI concepts and strategies clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and guiding multidisciplinary teams, encouraging innovation and adoption of new AI technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, proven by success delivering impactful AI solutions in fast-paced, collaborative settings.
  • Recognized expert who leverages broad business acumen and strategic awareness of emerging trends and technologies to address complex challenges and drive organizational outcomes.
  • Have led high-stakes projects and creates or executes forward-thinking business strategies.
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision, regularly engaging with senior leaders and influencing executive decision-making.
  • Act as a mentor, supporting colleagues in solving difficult issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field preferred. Nice to have skills/experience:
  • Google CCAI platform (DialogFlow), Vertex AI, NGA, ADK, Graph QL, BigQuery, Conversation Graph, LLM as Judge.

Education Qualification: Preferred Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Scientific Computing; certification or equivalent experience is a value add.

Our Principal Tech Product Mgr, earns between $158,200-$237,400 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
