JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineering

JOB LOCATION: 3400 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, Texas 75075

DUTIES: Support the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. Provide functional and technical leadership and mentor junior software engineers. Work with Lead Engineers, Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and Business stakeholders to identify technical and functional needs of systems based on priority. Write great quality code with a relentless passion for automated testing and validation. Enforce company policies in the areas of development methodology, architecture, security, change, automation, configuration management and compliance. Perform complex engineering activities for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment and production support. Implement, maintain and update CI/CD pipelines. Work as subject matter expertise in building Java based high-volume and high-transaction applications. Develop and maintain highly complex and scalable applications using Java, Groovy, Spring Framework, RESTful services, NoSQL DB, Messaging systems, Python, and Node.js. Design and implement robust systems using Microservices architecture. Work on cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef and Terraform. Architect applications to be deployable using AWS ECS and sophisticated container orchestration in Azure and GCP. Implement and manage advanced database solutions including Cassandra DB, CosmosDB in Azure, DocumentDB, DynamoDB in AWS, Firestore in GCP, Oracle, and PostgreSQL. Implement caching solutions using EhCache and Redis. Develop and integrate Apache Kafka. Build and maintain high-performance APIs using REST, GraphQL, SOAP, and advanced frameworks: Spring Boot and FastAPI. Utilize Elasticsearch or Solr. Debug and analyze production logs using comprehensive tools such as ELK stack, EFK, Dynatrace, Datadog, Kibana, and Grafana. Utilize build and CI/CD technologies: GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and SonarQube. Perform Test Driven Development (TDD) with extensive Unit and Functional testing using JUnit, Spock, Mockito/JMock, Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI, Postman, and Python testing frameworks including pytest. Utilize Unix and Linux command line. Work within Agile, Scrum and Kanban development teams. Utilize front-end technologies including HTML5, Vaadin, advanced JavaScript frameworks, and CSS3.
