Who we are:
The El Paso Construction and Engineering team is responsible for design engineering, placing various AT&T facilities including fiber optic cable, copper cable, and various construction materials in support of AT&T services. Our team is also responsible for optimizing AT&T facilities to deliver the best possible product to our customer base. In addition to placing new AT&T facilities the El Paso C&E team is responsible for maintaining the current AT&T infrastructure and repairing any damages that may occur in the timeliest manner possible.
What you’ll do:
The primary role of Senior Specialist OSP Design Engineer is to deliver high-quality design prints to our contract vendors, splicers, and AT&T personnel. This role is responsible for communication with various individuals including, land development companies, property management/owners, and customers. Government municipalities will require the OSP Design Engineer to work with civic teams to design projects to move existing AT&T facilities which may be in conflict with government projects. This role will require project management, project tracking, budgeting, and a rotation of on call where they would be responsible for answering call outs in emergency situations to dispatch technicians, coordinate construction vendors, and report on emergency to proper personnel. Applicants for this position will be required to complete annual trainings as assigned by AT&T.
What you’ll need to bring:
- Technical professional with 2-3 years of experience.
- Sound technical knowledge growing through application, expanding knowledge of ATT technologies.
- Demonstrates an intermediate to advanced knowledge of the engineering position, design tool and databases.
- Works independently, has the ability to complete most types of engineering projects, and is capable of resolving complex problems.
- Demonstrates leadership skills and has the ability to mentor peers and new hires.
- Education: Preferred Bachelors of Science degree in Math, Science, or Engineering.
Our Sr Specialist OSP Design Engineer, earns between $77,800-$116,800 USD Annual Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
