The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist supports and implements comprehensive EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and a culture of workplace safety. This role develops and enforces policies that meet local, state, and federal EHS regulations, oversees agency interactions, and manages compliance documentation. The specialist identifies and assesses workplace hazards, implements risk mitigation strategies, and designs EHS programs aligned with organizational goals. Responsibilities also include conducting safety and environmental training, leading incident investigations, documenting findings, and developing preventive measures. Additional duties may involve emergency response, data analysis, sustainability efforts, and stakeholder communication to ensure thorough EHS management. As an experienced professional, the EHS Specialist applies in-depth knowledge and independent judgment to resolve moderately complex problems, implement policy changes, and enhance operational efficiency, impacting costs, schedules, and client relationships. While this is a non-supervisory position, it requires collaboration across departments and with senior leadership. The role may also contribute to compliance efforts related to fuel tanks, emergency generators, boilers, hazardous waste and materials, batteries, construction projects, water systems, and air emissions.
What you'll do:
Ensure Regulatory Compliance:Develop and enforce policies to meet local, state, and federal EHS regulations, maintaining adherence and managing agency interactions.
Risk Assessment and Management:Identify workplace hazards, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safety.
Program Development and Training: Design EHS programs aligned with organizational goals and conduct training sessions to foster a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
Incident Investigation and Reporting:Lead investigations of EHS incidents, document findings, and develop preventive measures.
Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks as needed, including emergency response, data analysis, sustainability efforts, and stakeholder communication, ensuring comprehensive EHS management across all areas.
What you'll need:
A professional with in-depth knowledge, applying organizational practices to resolve moderately difficult problems.
Works with independent judgement on expansive projects with minimal supervision, implementing policy changes to improve functions.
Actions impact efficiency costs, schedules and client relationships. Interacts primarily within the department and with General Managers and above across various teams.
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 2+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.

Our Sr Specialist Env/Health/Safety earns between $96,000 - $144,000 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
