The Lead Event Manager has primary responsibility for successful execution for all FirstNet State and Local Events including management of requests, working with sales and strategy teams to plan and execute and ongoing analysis and evaluation to improve outcomes and results.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

The FirstNet State and Local events lead has primary responsibility for over 300 nationwide events in support of our overall FirstNet sales goals. Primary role responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events that promote FirstNet's mission and services.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Manage event logistics, including registration, scheduling, and payment, invoice processing and budget management.
  • Manage marketing content requests as necessary.
  • Monitor and evaluate event performance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders and partners to enhance event impact.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Partner Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with partners, providing them with necessary tools, resources, and training for effective sales enablement.
  • Market Analysis and Performance Tracking: Conduct market research and analyze program performance to inform strategies, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Event Coordination and Content Development: Design and organize partner events, conferences, and meetings, contributing to marketing messaging and content development to customize online promotion efforts.
  • Budget Management and Cross-functional Collaboration: Manage budget allocation for channel marketing activities, ensuring alignment and collaboration with sales, product, and corporate marketing teams for effective project implementation and resource management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Typically requires 8-10 years’ experience in marketing, business event planning, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on process management and business insights.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency and timely production of daily tasks. Strong ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey business performance and status updates.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the public sector and FirstNet. 

Our Lead Market Development's earn between $143,800 - $215,800. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
