A FinOps Cloud Financial Analyst is a vital role in the Information Technology industry, responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs. Their primary goal is to ensure that cloud resources are utilized efficiently, while maximizing return on investment. Role also involves FP&A role supporting Cloud Clients.

In this role, you'll strategically lead complex financial planning, analysis, and modeling through high-visibility projects, providing actionable insights and forecasting to drive informed decision-making and optimize organizational financial performance.

What you’ll do

Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to guide strategic decision-making. Provide recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and projections. Analyze financial performance against key business metrics to document and assess progress.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget. Continuously monitor financial performance against the budget and provide forecasts. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights for decision-makers.
  • Financial Reporting and Performance Analysis: Prepare detailed financial reports with variance analysis for senior management. Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for improvement.
  • Cost Management and Investment Analysis: Evaluate and manage costs to ensure optimal resource use. Assess potential investments and provide recommendations based on ROI and strategic fit.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts. Implement process improvements and manage financial risks.


What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired.
  • 7+ years of related experience.

Our Lead Financial Analysis earns between $130,700 - $196,100. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
