As a Lead Chief of Staff, you will play a pivotal role within MGO, providing strategic support, driving operational excellence, and fostering a vibrant culture. This role reports to the Director-Chief of Staff and is critical in steering the organization towards its growth objectives. This position demands a dynamic blend of strategic planning, operational efficiency, and leadership acumen, with overt responsibilities for headcount forecasting and staffing management, budget forecasting and oversight, execution and budget management of awards and recognition programs, management of the MGO employee onboarding experience, and leadership of large-scale projects—including the 2026 MGO Conference—as well as ad hoc event and speaking engagement management. Candidates must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage pivot tables, use advanced formulas such as VLOOKUP, organize and maintain headcount and budget files for clarity and accuracy, and automate recurring processes for greater team efficiency. Exceptional attention to detail and a proven track record in project management are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead headcount forecasting and staffing management, ensuring optimal resource allocation to support organizational priorities.
- Oversee budget forecasting, ongoing budget management, and financial reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility and alignment with business objectives.
- Execute and manage the awards and recognition program, including program logistics, communications, and budget tracking.
- Manage and continuously improve the MGO employee onboarding experience to ensure a seamless and impactful introduction for new hires.
- Drive large-scale project management initiatives, such as the planning and execution of the 2026 MGO Conference, from inception to completion.
- Coordinate and execute ad hoc events and speaking engagements, ensuring flawless logistics and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Create, organize, and maintain Excel files for headcount and budget tracking in a way that is visually clear and data-integrated, utilizing pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and similar tools.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual team processes in Excel and implement solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Partner with marketers, key partners, and stakeholders across the organization to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and achieve strategic outcomes.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of business strategies and plans to drive growth and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a marketing or growth-focused role within a complex, dynamic organization.
- Demonstrated expertise in headcount and budget forecasting, staffing management, and financial oversight.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating and managing pivot tables, using formulas such as VLOOKUP, organizing complex data sets for maximum clarity, and automating manual processes for team use.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
- Proven project management experience, with a track record of successfully leading large-scale events or conferences.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling presentations and executive communications.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Experience executing awards and recognition programs, onboarding initiatives, and cross-functional events.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams toward shared goals.
Our Lead Chief of Staff earn between $130,700 - $196,100 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
