Responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives, providing analysis, research, and solution development to aid leadership in supporting the strategy for business opportunities and initiatives, driving business growth and aligning with organizational goals.

Responsible for the creation and maintenance of financial cost models, integrated alignment with P&L’s, and strategic decision support for pricing and custom sales opportunities.  Must understand forward-looking telecommunications network technologies, excel in cross-functional collaboration and comprehend business case analysis and valuation.  

What you’ll do

Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Data-Driven Decision Making and Financial Modeling: Provide detailed analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making by leadership. Develop financial models and forecasts to evaluate the potential impact of strategic initiatives and business services. Distill core components of complex problems into succinct and easily understood conclusions.  Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the economics of business and understanding of the income statement and balance sheet.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, business units, and functional teams, to ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives. Develop presentation materials for internal approval from senior leadership and present models, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Competitive Intelligence and Support for Transactions: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities. Review competitive intelligence to help the organization maintain a competitive edge. Participate in the development of certain terms and conditions of transactions.
  • Strategic Planning and Initiative Development: Develop strategic initiatives and business plans that align with the organization’s goals and objectives. Identify growth opportunities, business model innovation, and facilitate cross-business unit initiatives. Leverage standard strategy frameworks and apply both financial and strategic analysis.


Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with financial systems and databases.

  • Significant experience coordinating with cross-functional groups of pricing, product management, network planning, strategy and finance.
  • Seasoned analytical skills to enable effective interaction with peers and up to 3 levels up in various organizations.
  • An experienced professional, recognized as an expert, creatively resolving complex issues with broad and in-depth knowledge.
  • Leads significant projects with strategic autonomy, influencing executive decisions.
  • Mentors less experienced staff, implements long-term plans impacting the organization, and frequently collaborates with senior leadership.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.

Our Lead Business Strategy, earns between $130,700 - $196,100. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
