 Are you enthusiastic about utilizing Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to discover unique patterns, trends, and insights? We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Advanced Analytics professional to join our team and play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions with cutting-edge GIS technology. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive results by analyzing wireless, wireline, and business location data sets.

What you’ll do

  • Problem-Solving & Solution Development:

    • Proactively design and present GIS-based solutions that address critical business challenges.

    • Clearly articulate how GIS technology delivers value and insights to internal stakeholders, Client Support & Strategy Development:

    • Collaborate closely with clients to define and support complex strategies using ESRI ArcGIS tools.

  • Technical Leadership:

    • Act as a subject matter expert in ESRI ArcGIS and telecom data libraries.

    • Mentor and guide team members on best practices and technical approaches.

  • Innovation & Adoption:

    • Promote the integration of new modeling techniques and data insights across downstream teams.

    • Analyze existing model data to identify future directions and AI/ML requirements. Data Analysis & Hypothesis Formulation

    • Interpret data to generate hypotheses and develop analytical strategies that inform business decisions and tooling enhancements.

What you’ll need

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with GIS and ESRI technologies, including map creation, spatial analysis, and web app configuration.

  • Comprehensive understanding of ArcGIS from an IT perspective—covering hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud platforms.

  • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving ArcGIS deployment issues.

  • Familiarity with geodatabases and the underlying database management systems.

  • Solid grasp of cloud computing principles, especially within Microsoft Azure environments.

  • Proficient in programming and scripting using Python and PySpark.

  • Foundational knowledge of spatial analytics to identify patterns and support organizational decision-making.

  • Strong leadership and communication abilities to collaborate across teams, solve challenges, introduce new ideas, and drive fast results.

  • Power BI and/or Tableau a plus

Minimum Qualifications and Required Skills

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Typically requires 5+ years of combined technical, analytical, and communication expertise.

  • Data Visualization: Capable of designing user-friendly, interactive dashboards for both geographic and non-geographic data.

  • Tools: Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, Alteryx for building data models, familiarity with Snowflake, PostgreSQL

Our Lead Advanced Analytics - GIS Analyst, earns between $130,700 - $196,100. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
