Job Overview:


We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic IT team and play a vital role in ensuring the quality, security, builds, configuration, and deployments of our web-based applications. The engineer will be responsible for key aspects of the software development lifecycle: design and security, testing methodologies and platforms, configuration and deployment, maintenance, and patching support. A key aspect of this role involves conducting readiness reviews before products launch, and post launches, to ensure software scales, meets uptime and performance metrics, and remains secure and cost-effective. Our ideal candidate will possess a background in software development, quality assurance, configuration management, and production operations, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Platform Maintenance & Optimization
    • Lead and execute ServiceNow platform upgrades, downgrades, and patch management.
    • Manage and conduct cloning activities, including pre-clone and post-clone tasks.
    • Monitor system health and performance, ensuring maximum platform reliability and availability.

  • Troubleshooting & Support
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams.
    • Provide root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated ServiceNow incidents.
    • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and implement solutions.

  • Development & Customization
    • Design, develop, and implement custom ServiceNow applications, workflows, and deployment scripts.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Maintain documentation for developed solutions, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Work with the onshore/Offshore partners to develop, operational, and security processes, for new and existing products, to meet client needs and maintain high security postures and operational metrics.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders and identify system requirements.

  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and optimize existing workflows.
    • Stay current with new ServiceNow features, new configuration & deployment technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Engineer or similar role.
  • Proven expertise in ServiceNow platform upgrades, downgrades, and cloning activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex platform issues.
  • Experience in ServiceNow development, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Flow Designer.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages used in ServiceNow (JavaScript, GlideScript).
  • Familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, OMT and other ServiceNow modules.
  • Understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and automation within the ServiceNow ecosystem is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise tools and platforms.
