What you’ll do:

The Associate Director – Technology II will Lead and supervise a team of IT professionals for the Business Intelligence and Insights function, driving data-driven strategies and insights to continually improve IT systems reliability and resiliency and reduce IT infrastructure costs. This role will collaborate closely with senior leadership to deliver actionable insights that enhance operational performance and customer experience.

Leadership and Strategy

  • Define and execute the BI and Analytics strategy to support organizational goals for IT reliability and cost optimization.
  • Lead and mentor a team of analysts, developers, and data scientists to deliver high-quality insights and solutions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain advanced reporting and dashboards using Power BI and other visualization tools.
  • Implement predictive and prescriptive analytics leveraging Machine Learning and AI techniques.
  • Drive adoption of streaming analytics and real-time monitoring for proactive incident detection and response.

Technology & Infrastructure Optimization

  • Partner with IT teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved resiliency through data insights.Support initiatives in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and Cloud Automation.Utilize advanced analytics for incident and event management, anomaly detection, and user behavior analysis.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership, including VPs and Officers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align BI initiatives with business objectives and technology roadmaps.

What you'll need:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on technical expertise in BI and advanced analytics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment and deliver measurable business outcomes.

What you’ll bring:

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Engineering
  • 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing teams and delivering enterprise-level BI solutions.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • Data Visualization & BI Tools: Power BI, Tableau Desktop
  • Programming & Data Engineering: Python, R, SQL, Azure Databricks
  • Cloud Platforms: MS Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Databases: MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake
  • Advanced Analytics: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, AutoML, Streaming Analytics
  • Automation & DevOps: Power Automate, Terraform, Cloud Automation
  • Frameworks & Methodologies: SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), Design Thinking
  • Incident Response & Digital Forensics
  • Knowledge Management & Business Process Modeling

Our Assoc Director-Technology II, earns between $155,400-$233,200 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

$155,400.00 - $261,100.00
