Overall Purpose: Strategically align current and future technologies with AT&T’s business goals, direct complex multi-year projects, and drive innovation and operational excellence.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Strategic Alignment and Planning: Align technology initiatives with business objectives; ensure strategic decisions are informed by research on emerging technologies and trends by understanding of one or more key technology domains such as IT, network connectivity, media/content technology, etc.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal and external sources to collect data; collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to support business goals.
• Research and Analysis: Define and develop tools, models, and frameworks; conduct and coordinate research and analysis; collect relevant data from internal and external sources. Utilize research skills and evaluate competitive and industry dynamics with respect to (technical and economic) impacts by new and different technologies.
• Communication and Reporting: Develop and deliver appropriate communication to senior management of technology organizations.
Job Contribution: An experienced professional with advanced, interdisciplinary knowledge, resolving difficult and complex issues using broad professional concepts. Guides others, applying advanced principles and company practices. Leads moderate sized projects (or parts of larger projects) with strategic value. TCP Career Step Differentiator: Manages technically complex and/or strategically sophisticated projects for ATO that account for $25M budget or higher and may be multi-year projects. Provides advice to the organization for the projects assigned.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science or Engineering. 3+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
Our Senior Technology Strategy earns between $106,100 - $159,100 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
