Join us as a Lead Software Engineer where you will lead end-to-end delivery—from design and development to deployment and ongoing support—with a strong emphasis on automation and quality. This role offers the opportunity to shape the technology roadmap, drive critical project milestones, and collaborate across teams to build solutions that make a real impact.
What You'll Do
Lead the design and development of large-scale, high traffic/high volume software applications that are scalable and maintainable.
Serve as the technical lead, owning delivery timelines, acting as the primary point of contact for development and support.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create design specifications, estimate effort, and validate software solutions.
Implement and enforce development methodologies using a variety of programming languages and tools.
Develop and execute automated test strategies to ensure robust, reliable software aligned with business needs.
Identify, design, and implement code fixes while validating outcomes and documenting results comprehensively.
Drive comprehensive testing efforts including unit, integration, security, and user acceptance testing.
Provide ongoing application support, troubleshoot complex issues, and streamline deployment processes.
What You'll Bring
Extensive experience designing and delivering large-scale software applications with a proven track record of technical leadership.
Expertise as a tech lead, comfortable managing project delivery and acting as the key liaison for development and support teams.
Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
Expertise with Java/Spring Boot and Kafka frameworks.
Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-native development.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables on time while advancing the technology roadmap.
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields; or equivalent experience.
Typically 7+ years of professional experience in application design, development, and support.
Our Lead Software Engineering, earns between $143,800-$215,800 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
