Join us as a Lead Software Engineer where you will lead end-to-end delivery—from design and development to deployment and ongoing support—with a strong emphasis on automation and quality. This role offers the opportunity to shape the technology roadmap, drive critical project milestones, and collaborate across teams to build solutions that make a real impact.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and development of large-scale, high traffic/high volume software applications that are scalable and maintainable.

  • Serve as the technical lead, owning delivery timelines, acting as the primary point of contact for development and support.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create design specifications, estimate effort, and validate software solutions.

  • Implement and enforce development methodologies using a variety of programming languages and tools.

  • Develop and execute automated test strategies to ensure robust, reliable software aligned with business needs.

  • Identify, design, and implement code fixes while validating outcomes and documenting results comprehensively.

  • Drive comprehensive testing efforts including unit, integration, security, and user acceptance testing.

  • Provide ongoing application support, troubleshoot complex issues, and streamline deployment processes.

What You'll Bring

  • Extensive experience designing and delivering large-scale software applications with a proven track record of technical leadership.

  • Expertise as a tech lead, comfortable managing project delivery and acting as the key liaison for development and support teams.

  • Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.

  • Expertise with Java/Spring Boot and Kafka frameworks.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-native development.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables on time while advancing the technology roadmap.

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields; or equivalent experience.

  • Typically 7+ years of professional experience in application design, development, and support.

Our Lead Software Engineering, earns between $143,800-$215,800 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
