This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted.  No relocation is offered.

The Mass Markets finance team is seeking motivated and experienced financial analysts to join the Planning Organization, supporting both our Mobility and Consumer Wireline businesses. In this role, you can support key functions such as volume planning, revenue and expense forecasting and analysis, as well as investor relations analysis and support. As a Lead Financial Analyst, you will be instrumental in various aspects of client support and managing multiple deliverables throughout the month-end, quarter-end reporting and planning cycles. You will collaborate closely with finance teams across AT&T and Mass Markets to ensure consistency with Profit & Loss (P&L) statements. Strong partnerships with Product Marketing, Operations, P&L owners, Accounting, Investor Relations, and Corporate Planning are vital to deliver on our monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Financial Analysis:

  • Support monthly and quarterly Mass Markets organization book close process.
  • Pursue opportunities to improve monthly book close and reporting processes with automation and efficiencies.
  • Perform complex data modeling and financial analysis in support of various planning cycles throughout the year.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations related to business opportunities, investments and similar financial projects or programs to help organization achieve or exceed financial commitments.
  • Gather, interpret, and evaluate financial information.
  • Determine financial impacts for alternative methods, plans and strategies.
  • Evaluate financial performance including cost or budget administration.

The successful candidate will bring analytical capabilities, innovation, critical thinking, and influence across key focus areas while working with multiple teams and organizations:

  • Collaboration across multiple organizations (such as finance, operations, long term planning, accounting, etc.) to align assumptions, methods, and procedures.
  • Partnering with client teams to build outlooks/budgets and tracking/development of key metrics/KPIs.
  • Coordinating deliverables with the broader finance teams to deliver reporting and forecasts in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Five or more years’ experience with financial modeling and forecasting using advanced Excel methods.
  • Knowledge of MR2020 & FDW systems is a plus
  • Proficiency in data manipulation (Advanced Excel, SQL etc.).
  • Excellent desktop skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Access).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications, project management and leadership skills.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
