Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer focused on cybersecurity operations to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Network Security AVP to develop and manage day-to-day operations on a highly dynamic team of Network Security Professionals focused on securing critical infrastructure. Must have strong leadership to lead a cross-functional Chief Security Office (CSO) team to deliver best-in-class Security design and requirements.
As a Principal Cybersecurity, you will perform the software enhancements required to collect intelligence and develop automated executive level dashboards and presentations. These activities include, but are not limited to, data acquisition, data transformation, visualization and C-suite level presentations. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Report Preparation:
- Drive automation to create, collect, and analyze intelligence for leadership dashboards and presentations.
- Prepare detailed reports and briefings for senior management on network security objectives using predefined formats.
- Power BI and MS Project skills to develop charts/timeline/roadmaps etc.
- Ability to identify and define relevant cybersecurity operations metrics for enterprise support tools.
- Present findings in a clear and concise manner, using visual aids such as charts and graphs.
- Brief Network Security AVP and others on network security updates.
2. Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between AVP and team members to collect updates on ongoing network security objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Work closely with other departments to share reports, metrics, status updates, and coordinate responses to requests for information.
- Participate in team meetings and ensure on time delivery of commitments.
- Take detailed notes and provide summaries of meetings and outcomes.
3. Technological Proficiency:
- Stay updated with the latest network security vulnerabilities and seek professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Familiarity and experience with ETL (extract, transform, load) tools.
- Program management tools and skillset.
Required/Desired Skills:
- Experience in automation between Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, MS Project).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Highly organized and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of Cybersecurity technologies, Program Management skills and Cybersecurity principles.
- Strong knowledge related to the current state of Cyber Platforms, Tools techniques, and tactics.
- Broad understanding of network architecture and network security methods, including capabilities and limitations.
- Familiarity of telecommunications industry threats and targeting.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively research, write, communicate, and brief varying levels of audiences, including the executive level.
- PMPS desired.
Education:
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or Cyber Security or equivalent experience.

Our Principal Cybersecurity earns between $158,200.00-$237,400.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
