JOB TITLE: Lead Quality Assurance

REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker

JOB LOCATION: 20205 North Creek Pkwy., Bothell, WA 98011

DUTIES: Responsible for performing all functions related to quality assurance and test execution for both new and existing applications and interfaces. Design, develop, and analyze test plans and

strategies using advanced testing techniques, write and execute test cases, and troubleshoot application defects. Determine integrated testing solutions that address cross dependencies between organizations and programs and develop data and environment strategies using architectural skills to meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security requirements. Work on End-to-End (E2E) testing. Cover the entire customer experience from sales to customer service. Apply knowledge of network integration for IT and network tests to ensure proper service functionality and billing. Oversee test case writing, review requirements, provide subject matter expertise on enterprise-wide application test execution, and collaborate with analysts to update requirements as needed. Triage defects, report on defect impacts, and troubleshoot issues blocking test progress. Work as a Subject Matter Expert in at least one functional area per application, write test cases from various documentation types, and apply test expertise to execute test plans, conduct negative/exception tests, verification, performance and regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Apply understanding of all aspects of the defect lifecycle and a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) environment. Lead and manage QA resources. Work with multi-tier web application architecture and micro-service technologies. Write basic sql/nosql queries for databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Cassandra, and CosmosDB. Utilize asynchronous message processing technologies including Apache Kafka. Process applications that use Azure File Storage. Write automation scripts using Java, Groovy, Spock, JavaScript, Python, C#, TestNG, and Selenium. Utilize troubleshooting skills including requirements analysis and basic application architecture, support applications in production environments, and defect analysis and triage. Utilize monitoring tools including Kibana, DynaTrace, and Splunk. Apply experience in CI/CD processes utilizing Jenkins, Azure DevOps processes and Kubernetes. Utilize tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack for monitoring and log management. Work with entire software development life cycle and test cycles including Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Performance and Volume, and User Acceptance. Utilize tools including Selenium, WireMock, TestNG, Katalon Test Suite, REST Assured, Postman, Jira, and Jenkins.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Electronic Engineering and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation leading and managing QA resources; working with multi-tier web application architecture and micro-service technologies; writing basic sql/nosql queries for databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Cassandra, and CosmosDB; utilizing asynchronous message processing technologies including Apache Kafka; processing applications that use Azure File Storage; writing automation scripts using Java, Groovy, Spock, JavaScript, Python, C#, TestNG, and Selenium; utilizing troubleshooting skills including requirements analysis and basic application architecture, support applications in production environments, and defect analysis and triage; utilizing monitoring tools including Kibana, DynaTrace, and Splunk; applying experience in CI/CD processes utilizing Jenkins, Azure DevOps processes and Kubernetes; utilizing tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack for monitoring and log management; working with entire software development life cycle and test cycles including Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Performance and Volume, and User Acceptance; utilizing tools including Selenium, WireMock, TestNG, Katalon Test Suite, REST Assured, Postman, Jira, and Jenkins.
