Manager Technology

This role is a hands-on Engineering Leader with 10+ years in relevant technologies focused on overseeing voice service configuration, activation, and management, ensuring accurate provisioning across multiple domains with extensive surveillance and cross-domain correlation. Strong technical leadership, innovation, and deep expertise in voice provisioning and network service management are essential for success in this position.

Will be responsible for leading software development, testing, deployment, and support of Network Voice Provisioning applications.

Required work includes collaborating with system engineers, participating in scrum, development and testing code to meet requirements, troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and optimize processes for continuous improvement and fixing security vulnerabilities. This role involves people management for up to 20 team members.

  • Technical Oversight & Quality:
    • Providing technical, functional guidance and support to the team. 
    • Ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. 
    • Reviewing code and providing feedback to improve quality. 
    • Identifying and mitigating technical risks. 
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders. 
    • Communicating project status, technical issues, and team performance to senior management. 
  • Recruiting & Onboarding:
    • Participating in the hiring process to build a high-performing team. 
    • Onboarding new team members and ensuring they are equipped for success. 
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. 
    • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

Technical/functional skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of VoIP networking technologies, including 5G Core architecture, Radio Access Networks (RAN), Transport networks, IP routing, Ethernet, and Access Wireline Networks, with a focus on voice provisioning to ensure accurate configuration and activation of voice services across wireless and wireline environments. Skilled in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining end-to-end VoIP voice provisioning processes to support reliable service delivery.
  • Extensive experience with VoIP-specific protocols such as SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) for call signaling, RTP (Real-Time Transport Protocol) for media transport, SDP (Session Description Protocol) for session negotiation, enabling precise protocol analysis, fault isolation, and optimization of voice provisioning workflows in VoIP networks.
  • Strong hand-on experience in Software Development using Java, python.
  • Expertise with developing and deploying applications and Micro services to Public Cloud, preferably Azure.
  • Experience in Linux/Unix, shell scripting.
  • Experience in Databases (SQL/NoSQL) like Oracle, Postgres, MySQL and Snowflake.
  • Knowledge in microservices Architecture and Design Patterns
  • Knowledge of real-time data streaming and messaging solutions like Kafka, IEBUS
  • Experience with tools like Maven, GIT, Jenkins, JFrog, Sonar and security scans (like Veracode)
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes
  • Data collection approaches through adoption of industry standard methods and open-source capabilities and dashboards through Grafana
  • Azure/AWS/Google Cloud certified Cloud developer/Cloud architecture
  • Understanding of key protocols including HTTP, SNMP, DNS, SSH.
  • Experience in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle including Requirements, Design and Architecture, Development, testing and Quality Assurance, Deployment and Release Management and Maintenance and Support.
  • Any prior experience in atelecommunications industry setting is a plus.
  • Overall Experience: 10+ years in relevant technologies.
  • Flexible to work with overlapping hours with USA team.
