Job Description:
Overall Purpose: Responsible for leading the work that supports the company property management and design and construction services. Includes mechanical and electrical systems, access control, janitorial services, cafeteria, utility services, janitorial services for administrative offices, and all other facilities, design, project management, construction,
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Plans, budgets and delivers facility maintenance, repair and modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Responsible for reliability of office facilities and grounds. Responsible for ensuring environmental health and safety standards and procedures are followed. Administers company policies that directly affect employees and customers. Recommends changes to policies. Frequently interacts with supervising managers, third party suppliers, peer groups and client business units, at all management levels. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, to accomplish goals. Will provide general direction to third party companies (i.e. external vendors/contractors/non-payroll workers). Interfaces with internal clients to determine project and floor space requirements for projects. Serves as the go to client interface on real estate and floor space issues. Assists in preparation of portfolio plans and budgets to maximize the utilization of floor space and minimize cost.
Project management responsibilities include managing the design, planning, construction of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, time and other related costs. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation layout and construction, building infrastructure replacement and central office, and facilities expansion. Provides direction to architects, engineers and contractors according to established policies and management guidance. Assists with the preparation of supplier contracts and KPI’s. May have 24/7 responsibility to respond if needed.
Education: HS Diploma or Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience: Typically 5 to 7 years relevant experience.
Supervisory: Potentially.
Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&Ts compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
