JOB TITLE:                      Professional Big Data Engineer

JOB LOCATION:             208 S. Akard St., Dallas, TX 75202 [and various work locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

DUTIES:   AT&T Services, Inc., is seeking a Professional Big Data Engineer in Dallas, TX [and various work locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to define data requirements, gather and mine large scale of structured and unstructured data, and validate data by running various data tools in the big data environment. Support the standardization, customization and ad-hoc data analysis, and develop the mechanisms to ingest, analyze, validate, normalize and clean data. Implement statistical data quality procedures on new data sources, and by applying rigorous iterative data analytics, supports data scientists in data sourcing and preparation to visualize data and synthesize insights of commercial value. Work with big data policy and security teams and legal to create data policy and develop interfaces and retention models which requires synthesizing or anonymizing data. Develop and maintain data engineering best practices and contribute to insights on data analytics and visualization concepts, methods and techniques. Provide rich insight into business performance, preferences, and experiences to improve the customer experience across a broad range of vertical market.  Develop and maintain production range pipelines using best data engineering practices and contribute to data analytics. Use Hadoop, Map Reduce, Sqoop, Hive, Pig, Apache HBase, MongoDB, YARN,  MYSQL, Oracle, Apache HBase, Hive, Teradata, Synapse, Windows, Unix, Linux, Java, Python, Shell scripting, PL/SQL Pig scripting, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Cloudera (CDH3, CDH4, and CDH5), Hortonworks, GIT, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Power BI, Agile, Kanban, DevOps, Waterfall, Eclipse, JIRA, Jupyter notebook, Ansible, and Kibana to meet business needs.

REQUIREMENTS:          Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology and Five (5) Years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or Five (5) Years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation supporting the standardization, customization and ad-hoc data analysis, and developing the mechanisms to ingest, analyze, validate, normalize and clean data; Working with big data policy and security teams and legal to create data policy and develop interfaces and retention models which requires synthesizing or anonymizing data; Developing and maintaining data engineering best practices and contribute to insights on data analytics and visualization concepts, methods and techniques; Using Hadoop, Map Reduce, Sqoop, Hive, Pig, Apache HBase, MongoDB, YARN,  MYSQL, Oracle, Apache HBase, Hive, Teradata, Synapse, Windows, Unix, Linux, Java, Python, Shell scripting, PL/SQL Pig scripting, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Cloudera (CDH3, CDH4, and CDH5), Hortonworks, GIT, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Power BI, Agile, Kanban, DevOps, Waterfall, Eclipse, JIRA, Jupyter notebook, Ansible, and Kibana to meet business needs.

Our Professional Big Data Engineers earn between $130,270 - $210,100 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
