Overall Purpose: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Testing Program Engineer to join AT&T’s Connected Solutions team. We bring connectivity to cars, we deliver visibility to fleet management and create solutions to support millions of connected IoT devices world-wide.
The Testing Program Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering testing initiatives on time and within scope, while ensuring the highest quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and software testing, with excellent communication and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA leadership, program management, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Operational Planning and Execution:
Coordinate with project managers, QA leads, development teams, and business stakeholders to ensure testing alignment with program objectives
Manage program-level risks, dependencies, and resource planning for testing activities
Track and report on testing progress, quality metrics, and program health to senior leadership.
Testing Methods and Procedures:
Create, refine and oversee front-door tools and processes
Using best-practices, implement and manage defect management tools, reporting, and traceability
Evolve Solution Assurance lifecycle practices with related documentation, communication, and training
Collaboration and Communication:
Track and report on testing progress, quality metrics, and program health to senior leadership.
Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and team capabilities.
Facilitate synchronization meetings such as Scrum of Scrums and ART Sync.
Skills and Qualifications:
Superlative communication skills, with experience in relevant Microsoft applications (Visio, Excel, PPT, SharePoint). Power BI and Tableau experience a plus
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency with testing tools such as ADO, JIRA, TestRail, Postman, Selenium or similar.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in software testing and/or QA.
3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a QA or testing environment.
