JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineering

REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker

DUTIES: Translate core architecture for business requirements into the final technical solution consisting of platform, network, software, and cloud solutions. Utilize functional, performance, and reliability analysis using engineering models and technique. Perform software development throughout the vertical stack. Lead the software product development life cycle from inception to production launch and provide post-production support. Design modular and scalable web components. Lead large cross-organizational software development projects. Use current web and micro-service technologies. Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality, and operational needs. Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partner with those teams to elaborate on solutions and interfaces. Develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers. Write code following unit testing and test-driven development. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level and participate in the definition of others. Participate in code and document reviews. Interpret and translate business needs into technical requirements and estimates. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure performance is achieved. Troubleshoot code level problems. Contribute to design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software. Contribute to the technical roadmap and technical debt elimination by balancing time, resources, and quality constraints to meet business and strategic goals and requirements. Build Java based high-volume and high-transaction e-commerce applications. Create web applications using Java, Spring, and REST. Perform performance tuning and application monitoring. Collaborate on the architecture and design of systems using Micro services architecture. Utilize cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible. Support IST (Integrated System Testing), UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and performance testing. Utilize Junit, Mockito, JBoss Fuse, and Tomcat. Apply advanced knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, and Maven. Apply advanced knowledge of Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems. Use Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, and Cassandra databases and tools.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Information Technology or Computer Science and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation performing software development throughout the vertical stack; designing modular and scalable web components; using current web and micro-service technologies; designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality, and operational needs; developing, analyzing, splitting, and realizing the implementation of enablers; participating in code and document reviews; interpreting and translating business needs into technical requirements and estimates; troubleshooting code level problems; building Java based high-volume and high-transaction ecommerce applications; creating web applications using Java, Spring, and REST; performing performance tuning and application monitoring; collaborating on the architecture and design of systems using Micro services architecture; utilizing cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible; supporting IST (Integrated System Testing), UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and performance testing; utilizing Junit, Mockito, JBoss Fuse, and Tomcat; applying advanced knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, and Maven; applying advanced knowledge of Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems; and using Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, and Cassandra databases and tools.
