This position is for a Data Scientist or Network Engineer contributing to research and development of novel analytics and algorithms for analyzing the behavior of network-connected devices, as well as supporting projects in the AT&T Innovation Studio. The developed algorithms are intended to be incorporated into products or services like Mobile Threat and Anomaly Detection and/or used to improve our cellular or fiber networks. The position is expected to collaborate with network engineers and data scientists across AT&T and to develop valuable IP utilizing a machine-learning/gen-AI focused skill set.
Key Roles / Responsibilities:
Development of novel algorithms for detecting anomalous behavior in device populations attached to our wireless and/or wireline networks.
Exploratory analysis of network data to identify good candidates for new classes of anomalies to detect.
Collaborate with product owners, customer representatives, internal stakeholders, and network engineers in developing and evolving new and existing products/services/platforms like Mobile Threat and Anomaly Detection
Contribute to and/or lead project work at the AT&T Innovation Studio, building and testing proofs of concept for new products, services, and network architectures in collaboration with the rest of the business.
Qualifications / Skills of interest:
Data Science / Machine Learning / AI development – experience developing new algorithms for modeling or predicting the behavior of complex systems
Knowledge & Understanding of LTE/5G SA cellular networks
Systems Architecture design
Software Development – python, R
Hands-on experience working in lab environments
API design / implementation
Education/Experience:
PhD in an approved field with no minimum years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
A Lead Inventive Scientist earns between $171,600.00 - $257,400.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
