We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director-Technology II - Infrastructure Transformation to spearhead the implementation, improvement, and support of our CTX infrastructure programs. This role involves supervising a team of 10 or more IT employees, including at least four employees, who are engaged in diverse technical sub-families such as Agile, Application Design and Programming, Business Support, Database, Systems Architecture and Engineering, Systems Technical Support, Software Delivery Project/Program Management, and Technology Security. The ideal candidate will provide strategic input and expertise to drive results in program management, financial operations, agile methodologies, and technology implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership:Implement, support, and lead processes, strategies, and tools for CTX infrastructure programs, including asset lifecycle transformations for on-prem and public cloud environments.
Strategic Input:Utilize business, industry, and technology knowledge to provide expertise for infrastructure transformations.
Process Design:Define, design, and implement processes within the technical organization to achieve business goals.
Change Facilitation:Lead change through consulting and collaboration, creating and managing policies, standards, and processes for infrastructure and platform organizations.
Agile Methodology:Implement Agile methodologies to meet cost expectations, migration timelines, and improve the customer journey.
Analysis and Reporting:Perform analysis and reporting, including metrics, scorecards, performance analysis, and gap identification. Draw conclusions from data and recommend improvements based on trends and best practices.
Financial Operations:Manage financial operations, including budget creation, cost control, budget management, ROI, and benefits analysis.
Stakeholder Consultation:Consult with internal and external stakeholders on business goals, tools, strategy, and best practices for public cloud infrastructure implementations.
Team Collaboration:Provide direction and technical or analytical guidance to project and program teams, including coordination with outside suppliers/vendors.
Job Contribution:
Education:
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Typically requires 5-8 years of relevant experience.
Technical Qualifications:
Core Azure Cloud Technologies:In-depth experience with Azure DevOps, VMSS, VNet, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Application Gateway, Azure Private Link, Cosmos DB, Azure Monitor/Application Insights, AKS, Azure Cache, Event Hub, and Azure Functions.
AWS Technologies:Knowledge and experience with core AWS services.
Open-Source Cloud Agnostic Technologies:Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform.
Monitoring Solutions:Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining monitoring solutions such as ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Dynatrace, or Prometheus.
Business Background:
Data Analysis and Business Management:Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis or business management.
Project/Program Management:Minimum of 5 years of experience in project or program management.
Agile Methodologies:Knowledge and demonstrated experience in Agile methodologies and practices.
Business Acumen:Strong understanding of business fundamentals, measurement, and business finance. Ability to explain business issues and trends within the business unit and in comparison to other units.
Executive Reports and Metrics Development:Experience in developing and presenting executive reports and metrics.
Data-Driven Decision Making:Proven ability to draw conclusions from data trends and recommend actionable improvements.
Process Improvement:Proven track record of gathering details on inputs, outputs, goals, and event triggers associated with business processes, and transforming these into process improvements.
Organizational and Communication Skills:Strong organizational skills and the ability to track and drive multiple initiatives to completion, realizing business value. Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
Our Assoc Director-Technology II, earns between $174,100.00-$261,100.00 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
