As a Principal System Engineering within the Software Delivery Services (SDS) organization, you will play a pivotal role in solutioning for critical projects supporting the Network and Business Technology Product Development (BTPD) organizations. Looking for someone with deep expertise in Network systems to support the Artemis project that drives our network evolution. This role demands an extensive understanding of network and cloud architecture, network protocols, and software development principles. Joining our team means you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing innovative cloud solutions that align with our business and technical objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage in collaborative design sessions with the Artemis AT&T and DriveNets team to map network inventory data from legacy stack to the new DAP network inventory data model
Interface with other architects within Software Delivery Services, ABS and Network Enterprise architects, ensuring all solutions are in harmony with broader business and technology strategies
Offer authoritative guidance, recommendations, and oversight on software technologies, cloud architecture, and engineering practices, with a focus on solutions for network and business customers
Present complex solutions in a clear and compelling manner to interfacing teams
Work closely with the Product Owner to develop Epics, Features, and User Stories for incoming work, promoting agile and efficient project execution
Required Experience:
8-10 years’ experience
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven experience in designing cloud solutions, with a strong preference for expertise in Azure
Proficiency in programming languages and databases such as Java, Python, Angular, React, Oracle DB, and Spring
A willingness to research and experiment with new software technologies
Ability to thrive in an Agile Scrum team environment and mentor team members on technologies and processes
Desired Qualifications:
Deep knowledge of network OSS systems
Proficiency in Layer 1 through Layer 4 network inventory data
Desired Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience preferred
