Job Description:
This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
We are seeking a technically skilled and collaborative Senior Technology Security professional to support the oversight of the IT General Controls (ITGC) program within our Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance portfolio. This role plays a critical part in executing technology assessments, supporting control design and effectiveness evaluations, and contributing to remediation activities. You will work closely with the Lead, external auditors, finance, and IT stakeholders to help maintain a strong control environment and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support technology-enabled assessments of control design and operating effectiveness by leveraging automation tools and data analytics to improve audit efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and evolution of standardized taxonomies and control frameworks aligned with IT architecture and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate as a technology liaison with external auditors, finance, and IT stakeholders to integrate control assessments into business processes and audit cycles.
- Participate in remediation efforts, helping to ensure timely resolution of control gaps and continuous monitoring for sustained compliance.
- Contribute to the architecture and optimization of process flows and risk and control matrices (RCMs), incorporating key technology controls such as identity and access management, change management, and system security.
- Generate dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to provide insights into control status, risk posture, and remediation progress for management review.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging emerging technologies—such as AI, machine learning, and automation—to enhance SOX compliance programs and control effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in SOX ITGC compliance with solid understanding of integrating technical controls into compliance frameworks.
- Technical expertise across IT infrastructure, security, application controls, and compliance technologies.
- Familiarity with technology solutions used for control testing, monitoring, and remediation tracking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience assisting in root cause analyses and resolution of systemic issues.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally alongside auditors, finance, IT teams, and leadership.
- Proficiency in risk and control documentation, process flow design, and reporting using contemporary technology tools.
- Relevant certifications preferred such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, or other technology-focused SOX compliance credentials.
- Typically requires 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Certification is required in some areas.

Our Senior Technology Security Managers earn between $118,800 - $178,200. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
