Overview
This is a solutions architect role that will require working directly with Product Management, Alliance Partners, and other AT&T technology organizations to ensure marketing and customer requirements can be met technically. Familiarity with AT&T’s Total Access Orchestration (TAO) and associated services e.g., Global IP Voice, NetBond Essentials, Cloud Voice is mandatory. Furthermore, the candidate will need to have an above average technical knowledge of AT&T’s network e.g., MPLS, Common Backbone as well as access technologies such as ADI, AVPN, ABF, AIA. Expert understanding of Virtual Network Functions, and the application technology used in common VNF instantiations such as SD WAN, Firewalls, Session Border Controllers and Routers coupled with Data Center (Spine / Leaf) architectures. An expert understanding of AT&T’s current managed service portfolio is also required to evolve identified services into a cloud-based architecture.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
The appropriate candidate will work as a liaison between internal AT&T organizations such as ABS Product, Mobility, IoT and the Alliance Partner group to both reconcile the technical feasibility and service architecture of new opportunities brought in by those organizations as well as identify new revenue opportunities using innovation of new technologies and function.
In addition, this role will be responsible for the Design and Architecture to support new services, determine certification requirements, work with various vendors and cross service organizations to fully realize the end-to-end solution.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 7+ years of related experience in the following areas:
Total Access Orchestration (TAO): Including Network Function Virtualization, Service Chaining, OPEN APIs and Orchestration.
Managed SBC, Cloud Voice, Global IP Voice, NetBond Essentials: Familiarity with well known Session Border Controller vendors, SIP Trunking and Call Center applications.
AT&T’s Managed BVoIP Service Portfolio (IP Flex Reach, IP Toll Free)
AT&T Managed Service Portfolio (ADI, AVPN, NetBond)
Network Function Virtualization: As applied on the TAO platform as well as in partner networks, such as Equinix NE and Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, GPC).
Data Center Architecture and Cloud Connectivity: Familiar with Dell switches, compute, VLAN, VXLAN and virtualization software e.g., Mirantis and/or Redhat.
Our Principal Product Development Engineers earns between $158,200.00 - $237,400.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
