Overview:
We are seeking a Wi-Fi Subject matter expert (SME) to lead Wi-Fi technology roadmap planning, architecture and solution for Wi-Fi cellular convergence within Network CTO organization, dedicating the majority of time on architecture and roadmap planning for Wi-Fi technology, Wi-Fi/cellular convergence including reporting and dashboard, managing Wi-Fi vendors, attend key Wi-Fi industry events and standard body to represent AT&T, manage key Wi-Fi vendors.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: (Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following):
Wi-Fi technology roadmap planning, architecture and solution for Wi-Fi cellular convergence within Network CTO organization.
Work with HQ RAN design/Engineering team to implement in AT&T network.
Assist HQ RAN team on Wi-Fi Network Design and Planning: Develop Wi-Fi layouts, ensure compliance, conduct feasibility studies, perform capacity planning, and create design plans for network expansion and modification.
Performance Analysis and Optimization: Monitor Wi-Fi performance, optimize Wi-Fi operations, troubleshoot issues, and analyze and design Wi-Fi networks to improve functionality, performance, and efficiency.
managing Wi-Fi vendors, attend key Wi-Fi industry events and standard body to represent AT&T, manage key Wi-Fi vendors.
Technology Evaluation and Integration: Evaluate new Wi-Fi technologies, plan and oversee integration, ensure compatibility, and conduct research and trials for new developments and innovations.
Collaboration and Coordination: Work with stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, provide customer support, and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly and quality issues are resolved.

Leads critical, high-impact projects and designs/implements innovative business strategies.
Works with minimal oversight, frequently consulting senior leadership and influencing executive decisions. Serves as a mentor and assists others with challenging issues.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) desired; in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
7+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
Our Principal Member of Technical Staff, earns between $160,900.00 - $270,400.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
