We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lead Accountant to join our Revenue Accounting team. This position will play a critical role in representing Revenue Accounting in cross-functional projects, leading process improvement initiatives, and ensuring the accurate recognition and reporting of revenues. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and functional expertise in financial systems, a commitment to process optimization, and the ability to collaborate effectively with IT, Product Marketing, Finance and other key stakeholders.

Project Lifecycle Leadership

  • Represent the interests of Revenue Accounting on cross-functional projects throughout the project lifecycle, including drafting business requirements/user stories, solution design, testing, and implementation.
  • Ensure client needs and project deliverables are met by prioritizing and monitoring project lifecycle milestones.
  • Provide status updates on project progress as required.

Process Improvement and Financial Systems Optimization

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness, accuracy, and performance of financial systems.
  • Identify and develop solutions to address financial system issues and collaborate with systems design teams to implement new features.
  • Provide technical and functional expertise in evaluating and developing financial systems, acting as a liaison with IT for programming and coding.
  • Support the design and creation of test scenarios to ensure seamless implementation of new processes.

Revenue Recognition and Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and comprehensive recognition and reporting of revenues for new products or services resulting from the development of new or modified systems.
  • Monitor financial modules to ensure they function effectively and efficiently.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Engage cross-functional teams in the presentation and resolution of IT development and marketing deliverables.
  • Serve as Products and Services Accounting Position (PSAP) Administrator to ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation for each new initiative.

Governance and Methodology

  • Manage process improvement methodologies and standards to drive operational excellence.
  • Review and provide input to project business cases as needed.

Our Lead Accountant earn between $118,800 - $178,200 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
