Position Summary: The Senior Specialist EHS – Clerical Operations is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Clerical Support Staff, driving process improvements through automation, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and training requirements. This role requires strong leadership, effective labor relations management, a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Microsoft Power Platform tools, and a commitment to continuous operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management and Leadership
·Supervise a team of 13 bargained-for clerical support staff, including oversight of tour and vacation scheduling, attendance tracking, and workload distribution.
·Establish and communicate departmental performance expectations, monitoring key performance metrics to ensure achievement of objectives.
·Provide coaching, counseling, and professional development to staff to address performance issues and foster growth.
·Maintain effective labor relations through regular engagement and meetings with union representatives.
·Deliver timely and constructive feedback via annual performance evaluations and ongoing communication.
·Ensure full compliance with AT&T and organizational policies by achieving 100% completion of required PLE training among staff.
·Oversee and implement departmental training programs and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
·Lead regular team meetings focused on continuous improvement, operational changes, and forthcoming initiatives.
Process Improvement and Automation
·Facilitate department process improvement projects under the guidance of the Associate Directors by assisting with designing, developing, and implementing automated workflows using SharePoint and Microsoft Power Automate tools.
·Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, map existing processes, and develop optimized, efficient solutions.
·Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring timely execution and successful adoption of automation solutions.
·Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate smooth transition and maximize utilization of automated workflows.
·Monitor and assess the performance and impact of implemented solutions, making iterative improvements as necessary.
·Stay current with Microsoft 365 tools, Microsoft Power Platform trends, and best practices to continually enhance automation capabilities within the department.
