Overall Purpose:
Leads and optimizes the sourcing of technical products and services, ensuring cost-effective procurement, quality, and compliance with industry standards to support organizational objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing and Procurement: Lead and oversee strategic technical sourcing initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards through supplier rationalization and selection.
Contract Negotiation and Compliance: Prepare, negotiate, accept, and manage commercial contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements, and monitor agreements to protect AT&T.
Operational Efficiency and Transformation: Implement continuous improvement initiatives, manage activities to enhance operational efficiency, and execute transformation/optimization projects to support evolving network requirements and critical program objectives.
Performance Monitoring and Client Satisfaction: Track key performance indicators (Kepis), ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements, and use client satisfaction surveys and project monitoring to resolve issues and measure success.
Supplier Relationship Management and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with technical suppliers, oversee supplier performance evaluations, partner with other business units to align sourcing activities with business objectives, and advise upper management on contractual rights and obligations.
Job Contribution:
Designs and executes strategies that support the overarching philosophy of the organization. Oversees departmental programs and are often hands-on with the design and implementation of applicable strategies. Typically leading large teams, supervising supervisors as well as career-level staff within the organization. Responsible for influencing decisions regarding hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates.

Experience:
10+ years of Category Management
3+ years managing Category Management professionals
Deep experience using benchmarking to inform negotiations strategies
Experience transforming software sourcing organizations using best practices
Experience executing software category strategies
Experience developing supplier sourcing roadmaps
Experience with developing C suite stakeholder relationships
Compensation:
Salary Range: $174,000 - $261,100 USD annually, individual starting salary within range depends on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
