Role Overview:
As Director of Content Strategy, you will lead the development and execution of AT&T’s digital content and engagement strategy across desktop, mobile web, and app platforms for both consumer and business segments. This role will be critical to delivering digital customer growth for AT&T. You will shape and implement an operating model that streamlines how content and messaging come to life across the digital ecosystem, delivering the right message to the right customer at the right time.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned content strategist with deep expertise in digital customer experiences, performance content, and channel optimization. You will lead a high-performing team and collaborate closely with partners across Digital/Ecommerce Strategy, Traffic, Conversion, Personalization, and UX to optimize the customer journey – from homepage and upper funnel content through the purchase funnel.
This role is based in Dallas, Texas, requiring in-office presence 5 days/week. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for a cross-functional team of content and engagement experts, driving aligned execution to deliver increased engagement across AT&T’s digital properties.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence within the team.
- Develop and implement a cohesive content strategy that aligns with AT&T’s business objectives and enhances the digital customer journey across all platforms, working with cross-functional partners to identify and prioritize funnel improvements using data-driven insights.
- Build and lead a cross-functional operating model for content delivery that supports both evergreen and campaign-driven messaging across key customer touchpoints, leveraging performance metrics to continuously refine messaging, content placement, and user experience across the digital landscape.
- Own the homepage experience across desktop, mobile web, and app, with responsibility for performance, strategy, and execution to drive engagement and conversion.
- Lead end-to-end content strategy and execution, optimizing click-through rates and engagement to strengthen the marketing and commerce funnel.
- Oversee the digital campaign content strategy, ensuring consistent and effective messaging that supports go-to-market priorities and drives business results.
- Drive innovation in digital storytelling and engagement strategies, exploring new technologies and channels to elevate customer experience.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in digital content strategy, eCommerce, or marketing with a proven track record of leading content and engagement programs that deliver measurable results.
- Expertise in digital marketing channels and best practices for messaging strategy across web and app platforms.
- Proficiency in analytics and optimization tools such as Adobe Analytics, Quantum Metric, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with eCommerce platforms and familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools and marketing automation.
- Understanding of emerging content and engagement technologies, including AI, ML, AR/VR.
