Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Digital Data Strategy and Analytics to lead a dual focus on advancing data strategy and driving digital analytics excellence. This role is critical in shaping AT&T’s data-driven digital approach by delivering robust data products, insightful analytics, and actionable insights that optimize digital performance and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Strategy & Vision
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, partnering on digital/data strategy, and communicating insights evolving intocompelling, actionable strategies to senior stakeholders.
Define and execute the vision and roadmap for data products and tools, aligned with Enterprise & Digital goals.
Prioritize data initiatives that enhance customer analytics and insights across channels.
Ensure tool set and development adapts to evolving marketing needs, customer experience objectives, and business priorities.
2. Digital Analytics Leadership
Lead the digital analytics function, overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of analytics frameworks across web, mobile, app, and other digital channels.
Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reporting systems that provide real-time visibility into key digital performance metrics (e.g., traffic, conversion, engagement, attribution).
Drive deep analysis of digital campaign effectiveness and user behavior to uncover insights that inform optimization strategies across the customer funnel.
Partner with marketing, product, and technology teams to establish measurement standards, KPI frameworks, and data governance for digital analytics.
Champion advanced analytics techniques, including segmentation, attribution modeling, funnel analysis, and predictive analytics, to enhance decision-making.
Foster a data-informed culture across digital, marketing, product, and technology teams.
3. Data Collection and Integration
Oversee the design and implementation of data collection mechanisms across marketing and digital channels, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Ensure seamless integration of multiple data sources (CRM, campaign, behavioral, third-party) into unified platforms to support analytics and personalization.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to build scalable and reliable data pipelines for marketing and growth analytics.
4. Data Quality, Governance & Compliance
Establish and enforce data quality standards and monitoring processes.
Collaborate with governance teams to ensure compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and internal policies.
Manage metadata and documentation to promote transparency and usability of marketing data assets.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a key liaison between marketing, digital teams, data engineering, and analytics to ensure shared understanding and alignment on data and analytics requirements.
Work closely with product managers and business analysts to translate marketing needs into impactful data product features and analytics solutions.
6. User Experience and Adoption
Design intuitive analytics tools and workflows to empower marketing teams with self-serve access to data and insights.
Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to maximize adoption and effective use of analytics and data products.
Collect and incorporate user feedback for continuous improvement.
7. Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Stay ahead of emerging marketing technologies, data tools, and AI-driven analytics innovations.
Pilot new data sources and advanced analytics techniques to drive personalization and performance optimization.
Evolve the marketing data product roadmap based on user feedback and business impact.
8. Performance and Impact Measurement
Define KPIs for marketing and growth data products and digital analytics programs.
Monitor and report on analytics program effectiveness and business impact.
Recommend strategic adjustments to maximize marketing ROI and customer engagement.
Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience managing data strategy and digital analytics teams within digital environments.
Deep expertise in digital analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tableau).
Strong understanding of marketing data ecosystems, including data collection, integration, quality, and governance.
Experience with attribution modeling, funnel analysis, customer segmentation, and predictive analytics.
Familiarity with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and best practices in data compliance.
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Our AVP – Reporting & Analytics earns between $231,700 – $347,500. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
