Job Summary: The Associate Director of Talent Acquisition- Early Careers is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and management of the talent acquisition function in support of all early career hiring. This role involves leading a team of recruiters, developing and implementing talent acquisition strategies, and ensuring the organization attracts and hires the best talent. The Associate Director will work closely with business unit and development program leadership to understand staffing needs and align recruitment efforts with the organization's goals and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to meet the organization’s staffing needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to understand business goals and forecast hiring needs inclusive of intern, co-op, development program and early career talent.
  • Drive initiatives to improve employer branding and candidate experience.
  • Make data driven decisions to identify meaningful opportunities to engage at universities, national events, and AT&T HQ hosted events as part of overarching attraction strategy
  • Foster relationships with platform partners such as Handshake, RippleMatch and Piazza to fully capitalize on platform capabilities to reach and convert desired talent

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Recruitment Process Management:

  • Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices in recruitment.
  • Implement and optimize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools with astute detail to incorporate automation and AI where appropriate

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with department heads and hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on recruitment activities and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and vendors.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make informed decisions.
  • Track and analyze key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance the recruitment process.

Budget Management:

  • Manage the talent acquisition budget, ensuring cost-effective recruitment practices.
  • Monitor expenses and optimize resource allocation to achieve recruitment goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition. Leadership experience a plus.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful talent acquisition strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Knowledge and experience with early career talent attraction and hiring a plus

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted.  No relocation is offered

Key Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Develop, Implement, & Manage Recruitment Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement dynamic recruitment marketing strategies that align with our hiring objectives and overarching employer brand vision. Leverage a diverse array of channels, including digital marketing, social media, job boards, and events, to maximize reach and engagement. Analyze performance metrics to provide actionable insights and optimize campaign effectiveness. Manage and direct external vendors and agencies for creative development, ad placements, and performance evaluations to ensure alignment with our goals.

  • Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders: Partner with talent acquisition managers and other business teams to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with recruitment goals

  • Enhance Employer Brand: Create compelling content & experiences that align with the employer brand strategy to by developing and implementing initiatives that consistently align with our Employer Value Proposition (EVP)

  • Other Duties as Assigned: Supporting processes related to employer branding and marketing, Management or Non-Management (union bargaining) full cycle support, understanding hiring needs, maintaining recruitment metrics, data analysis, building talent pipelines, providing consultation, training & mentoring, and/or event management. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of recruitment marketing or employer branding experience, with a strong track record of driving results and innovation

  • Creative and Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies that attract and engage top talent.

  • Collaborative Skills: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and establish cohesive strategies. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Data-Driven Approach: Strong analytical skills with the ability to track, analyze, and communicate ROI from marketing campaigns and events.

  • Content Creation: Experience in creating compelling content for various channels, including social media, blogs, videos, and digital ads.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.

Our Associate Director - Talent Acquisition earns between $118,800 - $178,200 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
