RIS I is the delivery of regional IT services to the end user. We offer support of end user devices including desktop, workplace peripherals, and voice and video devices. We support local and campus area networks, including wireless and cable plant.

AT&T has an opening for a Service Projects Manager: To oversee the technical staff responsible for hardware installation and maintenance. The role involves leading a team of junior and experienced technicians, coordinating with project managers to meet deadlines, and managing supply chain needs.

This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Will oversee the day-to-day activities of a technical staff with varying degrees of Hardware installation and maintenance skills.
  • Managing activities related to customer requirements, budget challenges, human resource needs and plans for new business development within assigned area.
  • Facilitating customer relationships and satisfaction while ensuring adherence to company policies and processes.
  • Investigating matters of significance, recommending, and implementing appropriate courses of action.
  • Implementing business processes and assisting in process improvement initiatives to enhance customer service.
  • Manage multiple projects and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts.
  • Receive, Define Project Scope and Requirements.
  • Coordinate Surveys, Schedules, and Tasking across all Frames.
  • Manage expectations of the client.
  • Document program process includes scope, risks, and schedule.
  • Gather feedback from the client on project close out, analyze feedback to complete lessons learned.

Individual will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and consistency to a team of junior and experienced hardware technicians during Medium to Large Scale End User IT fit-ups.
  • Coordinate with project managers, and other technical managers to staff project teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of supply chain management for forecasting equipment and other resource needs.
  • Responsible for the growth and mentorship of junior level hardware technicians.
  • Direct Report to the Service Projects Associate Director.
  • Strong communication writing and oral communication skills.
  • In Depth knowledge of the Customer, I&L standards, and processes as well as RIS I program processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications: Candidate should have a High School Diploma and at least 8 years of experience in large scale government contract execution and management. Preferred experience within a service delivery organization, SLA management and customer interaction.

  • Must be a proven project manager who knows how to build project briefs, timelines (inside a project planning tool), and hit the ground running with minimal handholding.
  • Detail oriented and organized, exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Hands-on, self-driven, highly motivated.

Our Service Projects Manager (TM2) (Government) earns between $98,100 - $133,000 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
