We’re seeking a seasoned Cyber Threat Hunter to serve as our AVP of Cybersecurity — a relentless guardian who proactively tracks, detects, and neutralizes cyber threats before they impact our company, customers, and partners. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on expertise to protect our digital assets by implementing advanced security measures, responding swiftly to incidents, and driving innovation across the cybersecurity landscape.
This position does not require office presence and is only located in Bentonville AR or Charlotte NC. Relocation is offered
Key Responsibilities:
Proactive Threat Hunting & Incident Response: Lead continuous, proactive monitoring and hunting for sophisticated cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Quickly respond to incidents using advanced detection, investigation, and containment techniques.
Security Strategy & Policy Enforcement: Develop, implement, and refine security policies and incident management procedures that safeguard critical systems and data.
Risk Analysis & Innovative Solutions: Conduct in-depth risk assessments and develop strategic mitigation plans. Champion cutting-edge cybersecurity innovations that enhance the company’s defensive posture.
Technical Expertise & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide expert-level technical support on security challenges. Collaborate closely with IT and business units to integrate and optimize security controls across all operations.
Diverse Cybersecurity Domains: Spearhead initiatives in cyber incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, digital forensics, software assurance, IoT security, policy standards, and more.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree (MS/MA) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity preferred.
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with demonstrated expertise in proactive threat hunting and multiple cybersecurity disciplines.
Impact & Influence: As a recognized Cyber Hunter and industry expert, your insights and decisions will drive major cybersecurity initiatives, influencing company-wide technology and security strategies. You will operate autonomously, engaging regularly with senior leadership and serving as a strategic advisor both internally and externally. You will shape the company’s cybersecurity future by researching emerging threats, crafting innovative defense strategies, and implementing best practices that protect the enterprise at scale.
Our AVP Cybersecurity will earn between $188,100 - 282,100. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
