Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall reliability and operations of AT&T’s Optical, IP Core, Mobility, and other advanced communication technologies.
Responsibilities includes both proactive and reactive monitoring as well as mitigation (remediation) of complex technology fault conditions that span multiple production platforms and/or technology environments.
Participates in diagnosis and troubleshooting, independent and/or collaborative (with additional support tiers and vendors) to facilitate the restoration of service.
Facilitates communication of event status, follows-up on action items to close and coordinates root cause analysis with all stakeholders across the organizations.
High level understanding of the End-to-End service to support the underlying technologies.
May assist in partnering with upstream and downstream partners in designing and implementing custom solutions for internal and external customers.
Works with hardware or software vendors, labs, engineering, product development and other internal resources in conducting change management.
In addition, may provide technical insight related to technology insertion, upgrades, security remediation, and capacity augmentation.
Monitors and maintains system configurations to achieve designed performance and reliability levels utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs).
Assist in authoring process documents, method and procedures as needed for the organization.
Perform basic automation functions through scripting and programming to bring efficiency to support and monitoring functions.
Perform data analysis on platform and or organizational metrics using industry standard analytics and data presentation tools.
May partner with Lead and/or Principal team members during new technology instantiation.
Participate in authoring process documentation, methods, procedures, and guidelines for current network planning, capacity management and use/test cases.
May partner with Lead and/or Principal team member to develop applications, scripts, and act as system DBA (database administration), building websites, web applications, and internal messaging BOTs while maintaining other key critical software/data platforms.
Knowledge of and the ability to use tools and techniques for analyzing and documenting logical relationships among data, processes or events translating business problems into insights.
As a Professional Level technology expert, this individual:
Works closely with business partners in a DevOps methodology to provide insights on the development of new platforms and services during the design/engineering phase of the project.
May participate in collaboration sessions with vendors on product capabilities and improvements. Researches and provides insights on chronic network or technology related issues.
May assist in providing leadership for technology-based projects including collaborating with partnering organizations to develop business cases, defining business and/or technical requirements, and preparing detailed plans and schedules.
May lead cross- functional teams on specific issues and/or projects.
May review and interpret technical documentation and vendor specs for inclusion/adaptation into database templates.
May interact with customers virtually or in person to outline or recommend technical solutions for their business or explaining root cause of a network event.
Job Contribution:
Intermediate level technical professional. Subject matter technical knowledge within a discipline and sound understanding of ATT technologies.
Education: Typically, a BS degree in Math, Science or Engineering, Computer Sciences or Operations preferred or equivalent related network experience.
Experience: Typically prefer 3-5 years’ experience.
Our Senior Network Technology Support, earns between $94,300-$141,500 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
