The Solution Train Engineer (STE) is the servant leader of the train at the Large Solution level. The STE has many of the same responsibilities as the RTE but across ARTs and Suppliers as opposed to across scrum teams.
Facilitate and guide the work of all Agile Release Trains and Suppliers in the Value Stream. Monitor the solution Kanban and solution health via its Metrics. Work with Release Train Engineers (RTEs) to coordinate delivery. Works closely with Solution Management and Solution Architecture helping to remove roadblocks and manage risks and dependencies.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
-Assist the teams in delivering value, identify cross-team dependencies and economic decision making by rolling up team estimation to the Solution level for visibility. Foster continuous improvements via Inspect and Adapt Workshops and regularly review program boards, feature/story burndowns and burn ups to understand PI progress at the Solution level.
-Communicate with stakeholders, escalate and remove impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.
-Point of escalation for the Release Train Engineers (RTEs). Establish the annual calendars for the Program Increments and sprints, facilitate release planning readiness including support of backlog management, event coordination and leadership of a Solution Train.
Education:
Preferred Bachelors of Science degree in in any Technical, Engineering, Information Systems or related fields; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience.
Experience:

Our Principal Solution Train Engineer, earns between $141,300-$237,400 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
