Overall Purpose Optimize supply chain efficiency by managing materials and inventory, analyzing and reporting on operations costs, and overseeing order placement, tracking, and supplier performance to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to: • Inventory and Materials Management: Oversee inventory levels and coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering to ensure optimal stock availability and reduce excess inventory. • Order and Supplier Management: Manage the entire order lifecycle including placement, tracking, and fulfillment; evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods. • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize mechanized systems to collect and analyze data, generate detailed reports, and improve efficiencies in report data to track costs and maintain budget analysis. • Cost and Budget Management: Analyze operational costs and prepare budgets to ensure cost-effective logistics operations, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings. • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Address diverse logistical problems by evaluating factors, demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques, and ensuring seamless logistics operations. Job Contribution An experienced professional with in-depth knowledge, applying organizational practices to resolve moderately difficult problems. Works with independent judgment on expansive projects with minimal supervision, implementing policy changes to improve functions. Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. • 2+ years of related experience. • Certification required in some areas.
