Threat Intel Analyst (Government)

  • Monitor security alerts of potential
    hacker attacks detected by security systems such as: Intrusion Detection
    & Prevention Systems (NIDS/NIPS, HIDS/HIPS, WIDS), Log Monitoring, File
    Integrity Monitoring and SIEM.
  • Determine and classify the severity
    of alerts and assess potential impacts.
  • Report and investigate potential
    security incidents.
  • Provide recommendations for containment
    and eradication of threats.
  • 6 months experience with alert
    analysis in a computer network intrusion/detection environment or similar
    field is desirable
  • 1-3 years experience working in an
    operations environment; or previous SOC/NOC experience, strong networking
    skills
  • Knowledge of identified operating
    system platforms; routers, network protocols, and security architecture

    Working knowledge of current vulnerabilities and attacks and threat platforms
    (i.e. Anomali, Threatstream)

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent in years
    of professional IT experience
  • Must be a US Citizen
Basic Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills and
    teamwork skills
  • Results oriented, high
    energy, self-motivated
Required Clearance:  Ability to
obtain Public Trust Clearance if required. Government fingerprint and
background check required. US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status.

Pros

I believe in AT&T and know they are at the edge of technology. The company believes in their people and offers all kinds of training to enable us to take on new jobs and to stay at the front of technology. The software defined network which we are building is the newest technology and AT&T has been involved since early 2000s. You have a great deal of autonomy at AT&T as long as you get the job done. You have the ability to do different jobs and to be challenged at all times.

I really have little negative to say about AT&T I have worked here for 35 years on March 23rd of 2016.
