Successful candidate will join a mature technical project as a Senior Network Administrator under the leadership of the LAN supervisor and will be responsible for providing engineering support services to ensure secure and continuous operations of business application servers, database servers, web servers. The engineer will support the government by maintaining Application servers at a Government facility and Government Approved Cloud infrastructure that will be used to develop Bot applications. The candidate will provide coordination with the Bot development team to ensure the LAN Support group is providing everything the team needs and to work on future growth or changes\additions required by the Bot developers.

This position requires 5 or more years of network engineering experience with a full understanding of the operation and management of an enterprise level network. Familiarity with Bot programming is a plus. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing virtual windows servers and workstations in local and cloud based environments and will support the LAN team with the transitioning from an ESX environment to a cloud environment.

Specific tasks: Will work with developers to migrate from a standalone workstation setup to a fully virtual cloud based environment. This will included requirements gathering from the development group and working with the current engineers to translate that into a fully working and secure virtual environment. Candidate will also work with the current engineers in maintaining and supporting the current ASA (FM&C) systems before, during and after the migration to the cloud. This will include providing information assurance support services: performing network scanning and vulnerability assessments with approved software and installing security patches and updates. The candidate will assist with managing and reviewing user accounts, access, and logins and suspending or terminating accounts in accordance with local policy and performing additional Information Security duties as required. Additional duties will include loading and configuring VMware virtual computing environments. Candidate will be required to communicate and interface with the customer and users of the network. Candidate will report to onsite AT&T LAN Supervisor

Required Skills, Certification, Experience, and Education: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent job experience. Requires Security+ certification or ability to acquire certification within the first 6 months.

Required Clearance: Secret; This position requires a DOD "Interim Secret Clearance" prior to the start of work.

Desired:
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a complex LAN environment.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and ability to interface with the client.
  • Experience working with, understanding, and communicating with Bot developers so that the candidate can understand the developer and tool requirements. Experience managing an environment that included Bot development a plus.
  • Experience cloud migration or computing is preferred.
