Our Mobility Team supports the US Agency for Global Mobility (USAGM) and its requirements across the various agencies associated with the US Department of State.  Providing, operating and assuring critical mobile voice, and collaboration services for the full spectrum of agency mobility requirements.

AT&T has an opening for a Mobility Specialist – Journeyman to support the USAGM requirements, in providing immediate and ongoing mobile services provisioning, and maintenance support.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Individual must have mobility services experience - Mobile device set up of iOS devices as well as Microsoft devices (including Hub & Surface)  
  • Able to explain vendor's mobile plans to end users                                                                                              
  • Experience with Microsoft O365 systems & cloud services                                                                             
  • Receive new mobile devices for user set up
  • Load required mobile applications on the device.
  • Test Mobile Device Management (MDM) application on device and ensure successful set up on MDM portal                                                                                            
  • Ensure USAGM mobile image (standard applications) are set up on device                                                            
  • Set up accessories on new device – including case, screen protector                                                                    
  • Swap devices – users with current devices requiring SIM swaps – ensure data transfer from old device to new device                                                
  • End-user support for current devices (password set up, appleID etc.)                                                         
  • Recycling of old devices                                                                                                                                          
  • Logging inventory information of new (&old devices) to the agency database                                               
  • Preparing and completion of required documentation for mobile users receiving new devices (or exchanging devices)   
  • Able to train end users on mobile applications (ie Skype, iTunes, MDM)                                                                 
  • Explain global roaming set up, SIM set up, as well as Wi-Fi set up                                                                     
  • Review with end-user agency’s mobility policy & contracted plans (domestic & international)             
  • General end-user customer support (connectivity, battery, etc.)                                                              
  • Individual would report to 330 Independence Ave SW – 8:30 – 5pm or normal business hours               
  • Ensure management is made aware of any widespread issues                                                                              
  • Any additional approved mobility related duties as assigned He/she has a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • He/she has specialized training/certification, and/or relevant work experience.   

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalency
