Tier 3 Operations and maintenance (O&M) support for satellite communications (SATCOM) terminals and related equipment. Perform equipment status monitoring and operations. Coordinate and respond to messages from interfacing organizations.
Troubleshoot links, trunks, and circuits and associated equipment/systems. Perform preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades as required. In-depth familiarity with various satellite technologies such as X, C, Ku, and Ka band. Must also be skilled working on large (greater than 15 meter) satellite antennas as well as microwave equipment.
Candidate must have a total of 12 years of applicable experience. The experience can be a combination of degree and work history. This can be a High School diploma and 12 years of experience, or an Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree and 6 years of experience or a PhD and 4 years of experience.
One of the following certifications or training is required: MOS or Military Training; SATCOM Ground Course, MNC, Link Budget Analysis tools
Required Clearance: TSSCI with Polygraph.
