AT&T has been tasked with executing a comprehensive rebuild and modernization of the communications infrastructure and capabilities at Tyndall Air Force Base following Hurricane Michael in October 2018. AT&T will provide local, wide area networking and a broad array of current and future innovative information technologies that support Tyndall’s military. AT&T will deliver and manage these technologies at Tyndall Air Force Base.

We are looking for an Cloud Engineer with 3+ years of experience. You will participate in the creation and maintenance of development, test and production environments with a goal of high availability, fault-tolerance and scalability of the Department of Defense Information Systems. You will be providing support to our government client in AWS deployments, lift & shift migrations and innovative AWS solutions. The Cloud Engineer should be able to execute architecture blueprints and bring it to reality with a DevSecOps mindset & culture. Candidate should be able to build and configure build plans, code pipelines and create automated solutions that can be frame worked and re-used. 25% work travel required

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with Linux and Windows Server system administration
  • Proficient in developing scripts and scripting languages
  • Cloud platform capabilities and best practices architectures, and engineering solutions
  • Knowledge and experience architecting and configuring Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs)
  • Experience with security, especially knowledge of the DOD RMF process
  • Demonstrable experience providing engineered IT solutions to large programs in support of the customer's mission
  • Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with the highest levels of management
  • IT systems design and development
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in federal government IT Infrastructure program/project management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with customer in analyzing requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience leading and managing cloud infrastructure-based programs and/or projects

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • 4 years of related systems engineering experience
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional preferred
  • Other desirable skills include: AWS, Azure, Atlassian Suite products like Jira/Confluence/BitBucket/Bamboo, Terraform, Consul, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Microservice architecture, AWS CloudFormation/ Azure Resource Manager, Python, Lambda, FedRAMP knowledge

US Citizenship and Secret clearance


Experience and Certification:
  • Relevant 3 years experience
  • DoDI 8570 certification IAT II required: Security + CE certification (minimum)
