As Senior Project Manager, you will be fully accountable for leading telecom project and programs on a global customer account. Ensuring the implementation of the service and technical deliverables are completed on time, to budget and to quality requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The following list specifies general roles and responsibilities of what is expected of the PM. • Responsible for managing projects and programs assigned to you, using established processes and methodology to deliver in a quality and timely manner. • Has end accountability for maintaining all project management administration (like Project Control Workbooks, Project Delivery Documentation, internal and external project reporting, and project time writing) • Defining, documenting and safely executing network projects, actively driving all phases of the project as defined in the Project Delivery Framework and delivering to agreed timescale and budget. • Engaging stakeholders at the highest level to ensure that expectations are managed and that the aims of the program or project continue to be aligned with business needs and strategies as they evolve. • Preparing and maintaining project quality and risk plans and tracking progress against the plans, providing regular progress reports to the Customer and steering groups as appropriate. • Estimating project costs, timescales and resource requirements in relation to agreed terms of reference. Subsequently monitoring costs, timescales and resources used and taking action where these deviate from plan. • Managing a change control process in relation to the project/program, gain agreement for revisions to the scope from project sponsors, and ensure projects continue to meet business objectives. • Providing effective leadership to the project teams assigned and monitoring tasks and adherence to standards and processes. • Client Engagement including identifying with the client lead key client personnel needed to deliver or assure aspects of the project. • Conduct regular project and steering meetings and log and manage actions arising from these meetings. • Chair and minute kick-off calls identifying the key deliverables, issues and risks. • Creation and maintenance of baseline and actual project plan – MS project or similar • As required chair focus meetings on specific issues or raise escalations for missing support • Provide weekly client status updates. • Manage the development of test plans and acceptance criteria for project deliverables • Managing of project services and network devices in to Operation including completion of Establishment of Service (EOS) and De-Establishment of Service) process. • Engagement of central AT&T service teams to onboard network devices into management. • Time and materials tracking of project costs • Billing support in the form of agreement with the client on work/time to be billed • Budget control and forecasting of work and charge to complete.

Education and Qualifications:
• Must have minimal one of the following project management certification or equivalent (Prince 2 practitioner, PMP or IPMA) • Must have a minimum of five years of experience delivering Telecom Projects - Information Protocol Telephony (“IPT”), Wide Area Network (“WAN”) & Local Area Network (“LAN”). • Must have extensive knowledge and practical experience of Cisco networking (although will not get involved directly with configuring these systems). • Experience of managing campus site or multi-location deployments of network devices. • An ability to run very large complex projects or a portfolio of small projects depending on the demand.
Occasional travel to customer sites will be required.
